CCT RUN

RUN TRAINING SESSIONS

CCT RUN is a run training program focused on helping people run smarter and better through all stages of life through structured run workouts and coaching.  This is not your standard run club.  We intentionally design programs to meet standards that help prevent injury and emphasize individual development over competition and speed. Through various types of running, by incorporating strength, mobility and a well-rounded fitness regime individuals will be challenged to learn how to run smarter, slow down and speed up when it is appropriate and build authentic relationships with coaches and other participants.

Workouts are 55-90 minutes and include dynamic warmups, a programmed run, strength and/or speed work and stretching.

CCT RUN OFFERINGS

Are you looking to improve runs in your daily life? Or are you an experienced runner striving for your goal, and want to do so with an uplifting community?

CCT RUN is not a club that promotes competition within the group, but celebrates each individual. We see a variety of fitness levels, ages, past injuries, etc. which makes it important for us to cater to each person’s needs and goals during our workout or run.

Track Interval Training

Offered on Tuesday nights.  If athletes follow our training plans this should fit nicely into their programming once per week.  This is a time to work hard.  Offering this only once a week limits the chances of individuals over-doing it by trying to run fast all the time.

Tempo/Threshold Interval Training

Offered on Thursday nights. We have a full day in between track and tempo days, so that athletes can be encouraged to use that day as rest or recovery or for cross training. We are also allowing space between this workout and when many athletes will take their typical long run on either a Saturday or Sunday. See section below for more details on how often tempo and track workouts should be done given an individual's experience.

Plug and Play Training Blocks

Pre-programmed training blocks for our athletes to use on their own. Distance from 5K - Marathon.  These generic run templates can be used to by any individual who isn’t quite ready to onboard a coach to help them meet their goals.

One-on-one coaching

Individualized and adaptable plans sent to athletes weekly with access to their coach. More communication, interaction and feedback, plus the ability to work an athlete's strengths and weaknesses.

Base Run (free weekly meet-up)

Offered Saturday Mornings (and hopefully Monday mornings). This is open to athletes Route options are 3 and 6 mile routes. Open to members and non-members alike. Meant to be run at conversation pace.

FULL MEMBERSHIPS ALSO INCLUDE:

Mobility + Strength Classes

Offered every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.  This limits the likelihood that someone would want to take class two days in a row and properly spaces out this format such that individuals can do their strength work on day they are not doing conditioning work in studio or runs as part of our run schedule. This would be the ideal class for run clients.

Strength + Conditioning classes

Offered Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.  Participants can expect a conditioning focused workout with built in strength segments.  The ultimate cardio class for those wanting to take their heart rate to anaerobic levels while also recognizing the need to strength train effectively.  Running athletes will not need this as often, but this could be used as cross training during base building or lower mileage season.  Runners who are attending a Tuesday or Thursday workout will get adequate cardio, agility and speed work form this class session.
