Jen

Dufresne

Jen started Cross Conditioning in 2015 as a group and individual cross training brand that operated out of several local fitness studios - Crossfit Mecklenburg, Inner Peaks climbing center, Flywheel Sports and her own garage. Jen found that the dynamic mix of strength training, focusing on body awareness and mobility, reducing impact on the body on a bike and running was ideal to build a healthier body and increase performance.

While she can’t bring the bike to this location, she did bring everything else. Through personal and small group training/classes, Jen will immerse you in a cross training method that will build cardiovascular endurance, strength, mobility and body awareness in one place. Class sizes are limited to increase individualized attention and give athletes a chance to ask questions.

With the opening of her first brick and mortar location, she will offer a full encompassing approach to taking care of the body, adding both nutrition services and physical therapy services. The team will work together to make the best plan for you to be successful.

OUR JOURNEY

Cross Conditioning Training started out of my garage in 2015 as an obstacle course race training company.  Four individuals were a part of the first round of monthly programming.  We completed several Spartan Races, a Warrior Dash and a Savage Race together.

Workouts were completed as a group at Freedom Park, Crossfit Mecklenburg and Inner Peaks.

That evolved into people joining the group training for just running races, which eventually evolved into people joining the group to just get a good variety of strength, cardio, and mobility training. The training proved to work for all levels of fitness no matter what the bigger picture goal was. The community speaks for itself. It is one of the most supportive in this area. You will not feel like you don’t belong.

COVID served Cross Conditioning Training well as a growing number of people wanted more personalized/small group training, virtual programming options, transparency, and a SAFE environment to exercise.  Cross Conditioning Training offers consistent scheduling and pricing that allows consumers to know what to expect when and how much it will cost.

There is no guess work here.

OUR TRAINING VALUES
SERVE ALL BODIES

We realize everyone looks and moves different, as such, we should treat each person’s programming different. Trainers will work directly with each participant to ensure that they understand past exercise history, prior injuries (if any), goals, and the reason why someone is coming into the gym. They will work to build confidence through challenging participants while also lifting them up in celebrating even small accomplishments.
